It seems that I messed up something and the power is not supplied to the motherboard. Instead or replacing just the DC jack, you can replace the entire DC jack board. Plz where i can get all these flexy cables dlsplay

Maybe you forgot to connect the power cable to the motherboard. IML Tech, I tried reconnecting the drive. I have a Compac Presario V v500 is old and overheating. Maybe your laptop is good for a free repair from HP.
