We are not trying to prove anything other than which SATA controller on the motherboard performs the best and offers the most reliable solution. I searched the Intel web site and did a fair amount on the Google, but really came up with zero performance information on these controllers specifically relating to which one was better within the context of this particular motherboard. I won't be back to this forum but you can get the info from me at this same username ingel. Marvell SATA controller vs. Anyways, you would be better off with software raid1 on windows vs fake raid, why not try benching that. Intel's site says the board doesn't support the OS - "drivers not available" But people here seem to be using it anyway.

You don't have JavaScript enabled. You can see that the e-sata is part of the marvell sata controller, so i guess this would be activated when enabling the marvell controller in the bios.

Clearly in the given situation software RAID is not the favorable solution for many reasons. This tool uses JavaScript and much of it will not work correctly marvrll it enabled. Hopefully I posted this in the right section! In a nut shell, here's what I found.
