Is it possible that on my board the network adapter is dead?
I have the NIC cable plugged into the router and confirmed that it works, put it in the laptop and I get blinky lights, put back ino the NIC on the motherboard and nothing.
How can I show the idden devices in devices manager? Please login or register. Sounds hardware to me if it's not present in a linux distro too.

Search Google, many threads. It shows the NIC as being disconnected. Seems win is not able to see the network adaptr. The screen that shows if you have USB and such plugged in. Just try the latest update for killer network driver: In device manager as you can see in the screenshoot the z87g-45 is present hidden as disconnected: I got to thinking i might need ethfrnet re-install windows but before I went that route I went into the motherboard BIOS and look at mother layout of the devices.
And in BIOS it seems enabled.

O it is an hardware problem or software problem?? When trying to install the killer drivers I get an error message that no hardware exist to install the driver for. Is it possible tha my power supply I'm not sure it is working well is not enought powerful ethernst let the network adapter works? Already tried latest killer nic drivers from site and msi site along with atheros drivers chip is based on.

Z87-f45 many distros it is not identified, must use manual installing. I received this motherboard in the mail yesterday ,replacing a version silently older 1 year older than the one I just bought.
Only latest linux kernel support e killer adapter. Try uninstalling the nic from device manager and all drivers whilst removing from the system.

I tried to install the driver from the site and from CD but etherneh both case seems they are not able to identify the device on my board. Have checked to see hidden devices in device manager?
